KATIE BRASWELL

Katie received Christ as her Lord at a Gospel Bill Tour in Mobile, Alabama at the age of four. In the fourth grade, she began asking the Lord to give her the gift of singing. She recalls vividly saying to the Lord, I will only sing to you.

In the 8th grade, Katie met the tangible presence of the Lord and was forever changed. At a Big Stuff camp in Panama City, she began to weep surrounded by her classmates at a youth camp. She came back with the intent to win her high school for Jesus.

When she came home, she was told her family would be moving. Heartbroken with all the anticipation she had, her family moved to Mobile. What she didn’t know was God had a purpose. Her soon to be best friend was a worship leader. She taught Katie how to sing. Katie began playing keys for her youth band in high school. While serving in her sophomore year, her worship leader moved to New Orleans and worship leading was handed to her. She led worship every Wednesday night her high school years bringing her friends closer to the presence of the Lord.

At 20 years old, the Lord called her into ministry at a Forward conference in Atlanta. God audibly spoke to Katie and told her she had been set apart for such a time as this and asked would she surrender to Him.

Katie chose to surrender her calling to Him in 2010, that weekend. She began leading within her church on Sundays. Later in her 20s, she and her husband led a city-wide worship ministry called Bridge the Coast where over 5,000 people gathered across the Gulf Coast for the span of seven years to worship the Lord. It was the Bridge ministry that spurred the love for writing music in Katie.

In 2019, she released her first song, Louder, while pregnant with her first child, Julia. Katie now serves as a worship pastor at Pathway Church in Mobile, Alabama. She has released 10 songs independently. Her most popular work is Glory to Our God with over 500,000 streams. Katie has been a part of the Maverick City Choir, Songlab and the Worship Coalition.
